He is a volunteer Community First Responder with South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb), responding to local 999 calls with the Seahaven team, and he runs the [Seahaven Responders](https://seahavenresponders.org/) charity that supports that work.

Before SEO he worked as a paid senior beach lifeguard with the RNLI in Bournemouth, and volunteered with Seaford Lifeguards — including trainer/assessor and safeguarding roles.
